Cookie Policy

Last updated: 16 September 2026

This policy explains how brandtropy.com uses cookies and similar technologies, which services place them and how you can control your choices.

For information about how Brandtropy processes personal data more generally, please see the Privacy Policy.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can remember your choices, support essential functions or help the website owner understand how the site is used.

Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking scripts, may perform related functions. This policy refers to all of them collectively as cookies.

3. How Brandtropy uses cookies

Brandtropy uses two categories:

  • Necessary cookies, which support security, consent management and essential website functions.
  • Statistics cookies, which help Brandtropy understand how visitors use the website and where the experience could be improved.

Brandtropy does not currently use cookies to create advertising profiles or show personalised advertising.

Necessary cookies may operate without consent where they are strictly required. Statistics cookies remain blocked unless you consent to them.

4. Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies support functions such as:

  • remembering your cookie choices;
  • protecting the contact form against spam and automated abuse;
  • maintaining website security;
  • providing functions that you explicitly request.

These cookies cannot be disabled through the cookie banner because the relevant functions may not work without them.

Complianz

Complianz records whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies and remembers the categories you selected.

The exact names may include cookies beginning with cmplz_, used to record selected categories, the policy version and the status of the cookie banner.

These preferences are normally retained for 12 months.

Google reCAPTCHA

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3. reCAPTCHA analyses technical and interaction information to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse.

When reCAPTCHA is executed, Google may place the necessary _GRECAPTCHA cookie and process information including your IP address, browser information and interaction data.

This processing is used to protect the form and website from spam and abuse.

5. Statistics cookies

Statistics cookies are optional. They remain blocked until you accept Statistics cookies through the cookie banner.

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics helps Brandtropy understand how visitors reach and use the website.

It may collect:

  • pages visited;
  • approximate location;
  • browser and device information;
  • referring source;
  • navigation and interaction information;
  • pseudonymous identifiers.

Cookies commonly used by Google Analytics include:

  • _ga — distinguishes visitors and may remain for up to two years.
  • Cookies beginning with _ga_ — maintain session information and may remain for up to two years.

Google Signals and advertising-personalisation features are not enabled.

Google Analytics event-level data is configured for a retention period of two months.

Provider: Google Ireland Limited and related Google entities.

Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity helps Brandtropy understand navigation, clicks, scrolling and other interactions so that usability problems can be identified.

Clarity may create heatmaps and reconstructed sessions. These are reconstructions of activity within the browser. They do not use your camera or microphone.

Contact-form fields and other sensitive areas are intended to be masked or excluded from recordings.

Cookies associated with Clarity may include:

  • _clck — associates page views with a pseudonymous visitor and normally remains for one year.
  • _clsk — connects page views during a browsing session and normally remains for one day.
  • CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM — Microsoft-domain cookies supporting visitor recognition, analytics and related Microsoft operations.

Clarity remains blocked until you consent to Statistics cookies.

Provider: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited and related Microsoft entities.

Microsoft normally retains standard session playback data for 30 days. Certain selected, labelled or aggregated information may remain available for longer periods.

6. Services that do not place optional cookies

Adobe Fonts

The website uses Adobe Fonts to display its typography.

Adobe Fonts does not use cookies to deliver the fonts. However, your browser connects to Adobe’s servers to retrieve the font files. Adobe may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and operating-system details.

Adobe Fonts is treated as part of the website’s presentation rather than as an optional analytics service.

Adobe Privacy Policy: https://www.adobe.com/privacy/policy.html

Calendly

Brandtropy links to Calendly but does not embed Calendly on this website.

Calendly scripts and cookies do not load simply because you visit brandtropy.com. If you follow the link, you leave this website and Calendly’s own cookie and privacy practices apply.

Calendly Privacy Notice: https://calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice

7. Newsletter and contact form

Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

Newsletter subscriptions are managed separately through Mailchimp and use double opt-in.

These activities involve personal data and are explained in the Privacy Policy. They do not, by themselves, authorise optional website analytics cookies.

8. Managing your choices

When you first visit the website, you can:

  • accept Statistics cookies;
  • reject optional cookies;
  • review the available categories before deciding.

Rejecting Statistics cookies will not prevent you from reading the website or using its core functions.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting Manage cookies in the website footer.

Withdrawing consent prevents future optional tracking. It does not affect processing undertaken lawfully before consent was withdrawn.

You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. Deleting the Complianz preference cookies may cause the cookie banner to appear again.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the website, its services or applicable requirements change.

Material changes to optional cookie purposes may require Brandtropy to request your consent again.
